Channel Cat Talk: First Railroad Bridge Across the Mississippi

Historian Larry McHenry will discuss the history of the first railroad bridge across the Mississippi River. This event is a "Channel Cat Talk," part of River Action’s "Explore the River" education series.

Thursday, August 15, 2013, from 9 to 10:45 AM. The presentation will take place aboard the Channel Cat Water Taxi. Attendees should meet at the Celebration Belle Landing, 2501 East River Drive, Moline, IL. Admission cost: $12. (However, IHC funds have been used to provide free tickets to selected local organizations.) Space is limited. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
