Steve Loomis, local historian, preservation advocate, and ISB member, will lead the Independent Silver Band (ISB) in a lecture, demonstration, and concert about community bands in Centralia’s history. Originally organized in 1884, the ISB will appear in authentic 1880s attire and will perform on period instruments in both the exhibit hall and in Robnett’s Grove, across the street from the Society.

Audiences are invited to learn about the importance of community bands in America’s history and to enjoy a box supper.

Tickets are on sale for $15.
