Black Rockfordians: Their Journey Through the Forest City

Join the Afro American-Historical and Genealogical Society, Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin Chapter as they celebrate the completion of their oral history project which raises awareness of the rich African-American heritage available in the Rockford community. This project is available in a book and DvD format.

  • Exhibits/Social Hour – 5:00PM
  • Dinner/Program – 6:00PM

Proceeds from this event will benefit various community centers. A copy of Born witha Broken Heart will be given away to the first 7 people to arrive (one copy to a family).
