Benjamin Britten at 100 -- Saturday events

Events scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2013, as part of "Benjamin Britten at 100: An American Centenary Symposium" at Illinois State University include the following: "Britten’s Choral Delights," a workshop featuring members of the American Choral Directors Association, incorporating performances and commentary — registration beginning at 8 AM in the lobby of the Center for the Performing Arts, workshop itself beginning at 10 AM in the concert hall of the Center for Performing Arts; scholarly presentations by musicologists and other humanities specialists, Room 357 (auditorium) of the College of Business, beginning at 9:30 AM; "Box Lunch Britten II," a lunchtime recital of chamber works by Britten, in the University Galleries in the Center for Visual Arts, 12 noon; and "Benjamin Britten and the Art of Song," a performance of vocal works by Britten, in the concert hall of the Center for Performing Arts, 7:30 PM.
