Professor Norma Moruzzi , Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will interview Marjane Satrapi on the occasion of the release of her new book “Embroideries“, a gloriously entertaining and enlightening look into the sex lives of Iranian women.
“Embroideries” gathers together Marjane’s tough-talking grandmother, stoic mother, glamorous and eccentric aunt and their friends and neighbors for an afternoon of tea drinking and talking. Naturally, the subject turns to love, sex and the vagaries of men.
A special thanks to Women and Children First bookstore (5233 N. Clark St.), which will be featuring a reading of Marjane’s new book on the evening of May 3rd at 7:30 PM.
