Join us in welcoming Prof. William Nickell, fresh from his return from a month-long stay in Sochi, Russia, site of the upcoming winter 2014 Olympics and historically significant sanatorium destination.

Prof. Nikell will be drawing on his extensive research on the cultural history of Black Sea sanatoria in order to present a night of Soviet-sanctioned recreation in Lincoln Park.

The lecture that will include an interactive, participatory, multimedia, “all expenses paid” evening of treatment for the audience, including the dispensing of medicinal waters, agitational gymnastics, electrotherapy, and cultural education.

This event is free and open to the public.
