A Life In Rhythm

A Road Scholar Program by Rocky Maffit

We all live in rhythm. It is in us and all around us. Life is impossible without it. In this program the presenter draws on body percussion, voice and an amazing variety of World Percussion instruments to draw out the "inner drummer" that lives in us all. From the Angklung (tuned bamboo rattles from Thailand) and the Ocean Drum (U.S.) to the Wind Gong (China), this show blends cultural history, world geography, percussion, song and fun to absorb and engage the audience in a world of rhythm and beauty. The show employs a large amount of audience participation and is extremely child friendly.
