A Road Scholar Program by Gerald Savage (HoChunk Native American)

Chief White Winnebago will introduce participants to the culture and history of the HoChunk nation. He will examine the history of his tribal territory and settlements, how his family was relocated into Starved Rock, tribal names and culture, his regalia, and artifacts.

Location Details

The Francis Stupey Log Cabin is located on Saint Johns Avenue between Laurel and Hazel Avenues. If there is inclement weather or too hot, then the event will move to the Highland Park Public Library at 494 Laurel Avenue.
