2014 Summer Community Grants Program Workshop in Chicago

Are you interested in applying for an IHC Grant?

Four times a year, the Illinois Humanities Council awards community grants to Illinois nonprofit organizations to develop public humanities programs for Illinois audiences and to provide technical assistance or general support to help accomplish their core humanities missions. We especially encourage applications from organizations that bring humanities projects to new or historically neglected audiences or communities.

Representatives from Illinois nonprofit organizations are invited to join us for this grant application workshop. During the workshop, IHC staff will respond to questions about applying for grants for various types of projects, including documentary films, local and community history projects, literary symposia, and oral history projects. You’ll learn about the many ways in which the Illinois Humanities Council provides support for nonprofit organizations and make connections with the IHC and with local potential collaborators and allied organizations.

Read our Community Grant guidelines. The next two grant application deadlines are July 15, 2014 and October 15, 2014.
