From the Bishop Hill website: "The Bishop Hill Heritage Association will be sponsoring this event held in Bishop Hill’s village park. In a modern day Chautauqua, performers portray historical figures. For this year’s Chautauqua, poet Carl Sandburg, Civil War nurse, Mother Bickerdike, and early Illinois politician, Ninian Edwards will be appearing."

Saturday, September 7. First performance begins at 1 PM. Last performance begins at 7 PM. Location: Bishop Hill Village Park (officially part of Bishop Hill State Historic Site), Bishop Hill, IL. Free admission. Attendees are encouraged to take lawn chairs.
