The Illinois Humanities Council (IHC) will celebrate the graduation of The Odyssey Project’s class of 2008. Senator Michael (Mike) W. Frerichs will give the keynote address.
The Odyssey Project is a free, eight-month program of college-level humanities courses for people living in poverty. Students in the class of 2008 took classes from September through May at the Douglass Branch Library in Champaign, IL.
The Honorable Michael (Mike) W. Frerichs, State Senator – 52nd District, is a full-time legislator; born July 28, 1973, in Gifford. He holds a B.A. from Yale University. He served as the Champaign County Auditor and Champaign County Board Member and a Certified Public Finance Officer.
